POCO OSO PARDO LP (barn name ‘Pistol Pete’) -- Gelding

Born in 1983 and the first official horse of MooseVine Ranch, Pete arrived at MooseVine Ranch in 1991. He is the only one of the horses to have lived at all  of the locations of the ranch including Western New York. Always the trooper, he  has been transported across the country twice. He spent his early years as a Field Trial horse, chasing dogs and birds. The stories of his early life are  seemingly endless and if you have the time, Denise will be more than happy to share them with you. He has made a very successful transition to the show circuit, winning numerous prestigious awards. The barn name ‘Pistol Pete’ is well deserved and is based upon the speed at which he likes to go. You have to convince him that every trail ride is not a race. His primary and most important  function at the ranch is babysitting Puma, the stallion. They share a pasture quite harmoniously.

LUZ DE LUNA  JC (barn name ‘PJ) -- Gelding

PJ was born in 1993 and came to MooseVine Ranch in 1997. He is the clown prince of the ranch, as precocious as he can be. He always seems to be trying to  figure out how much trouble he can get in. He shares a pasture with (and is bossed around by) Dot. Although not one who enjoys showing very much, he is an absolute blast to ride on any trail.

SANTA MARIA DE NANAY ES (barn name ‘Dot’) -- Mare

Born in 1991 and nicknamed for the red dot in the white marking on her face, ‘Dot’ arrived at MooseVine Ranch in 1998 and fit in immediately. ‘Dot’ is now beginning to be shown (2005), and hopefully, will be bred again soon. She  has the perfect temperament to be a mother and Denise and Craig look forward to seeing her in action as ‘The MooseVine  Mom’.
